Dr. Imber is an environmental scientist with more than twenty years experience in the field. He has degrees in chemistry and geology and a Ph.D. in chemical oceanography from the University of Liverpool, England. Dr. Imber has acted as a peer reviewer for the National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada and the BC Science Council, and holds six patents for various environmental technologies. Dr. Imber has developed successful research companies focused on biotechnology, environmental chemistry and industrial waste treatment technology. He has been actively involved in the delivery of pragmatic scientific research in North America, Australia and the United Kingdom and is recognized internationally for his experience in the environmental field and his work on the effects of pollutants on the environment. He is an expert on the bioavailability of trace metals and is published in the field of organic contaminant fate and effect.
Mr. Ramsay has over twenty years of proven management and leadership experience as CEO/President of the Ramsay Group of Companies, including Ramsay Machine Works Ltd. and EMCS Industries Ltd. Ramsay Machine Works Ltd. specializes in manufacturing a wide range of products and equipment for major industries. EMCS Industries Ltd. designs, manufactures and installs corrosion control systems and water treatment systems for ships, offshore platforms and industrial plants through a worldwide network of agents.
Mr. Butterfield is the President of the Trust for Sustainable Development; a BC based Federal not-for-profit Company. He is the town founder of Civano, a 2,400 home “sustainable new town” in Tucson Arizona which the New York Times referred to as “one of the four most sustainable developments” of its time. He is also a town founder of Loreto Bay; a $5 billion dollar “new town” in Baja California Sur, Mexico, currently among the most sustainable developments in the world. This project was developed at the request of the Mexican Federal Government to alleviate poverty in the Central Baja and for which he was awarded the US Mexico Chamber of Commerce Good Neighbour Award. The Government of BC presented Mr. Butterfield with the “Building Better futures” award for his work in BC, including the environmentally advanced mixed-use Shoal Point development on Victoria’s harbour front. He has been an early stage investor in several business start ups including Zaio and Flickr. He is also on Arizona State University’s (ASU) Global Institute of Sustainability’s (GIOS) Board of Trustees which is an advisory board of global leaders from business and academia. GIOS is the hub of all of ASU’s sustainability initiatives in research, education, outreach, and business practices.
Mr. Obrigewitsch's responsibilities for the Company include investor relations and corporate development work. Kris obtained his BA from the University of Victoria with a background in Economics. Over seven years of marketing experience in the UK and Ireland provides Kris with an articulate insight into those markets. Mrs. Nadia Ariff, B.Sc – Corporate Secretary Mrs. Ariff studied at Trinity College Dublin, where she obtained a B.Sc in Zoology; she also has technical training in the field of organic resources. Her management experience and people skills have been integral to successfully overseeing the operations of the company. She is currently pursuing her chartered secretaries designation. Mr. Nick Imber – Managing Director ICC ( UK ) Ltd. Trained as a town planner, Mr. Nick Imber has been involved in large scale developments, and dealing with local government, for the past 30 years. Mr. Imber spent 20 years as CEO of Aldwick Housing Association, which saw a 600% increase in housing stock and a 2400% increase in revenue. He has proven management capacity and a large network of operational and private sector contracts. Mr. Larry Beatty – Financial Controller Mr. Beatty is a Chartered Accountant who obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from theMr. Jeff Coleman M.A.Sc. - Engineer Mr. Coleman works for ICC as a mechanical engineer, coordinating the further development of our Plant and providing input and direction for R&D projects. He holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University as well as a master's degree from the University of Victoria . He has scientific papers published in the field of microfluidics and has a strong interest in the development of green technologies.
